Mould for electrical substations

Design of an automated production unit for substations

The system consists of 3 fixed tables to pour the base plate and the 2 half sections of the roof, plus a hydraulically shrinkable mould to pour the cabin itself. Seen the cabins are being poured upside down, Construx provides a lifting frame with a hydraulic tilting device.

  • 1 fixed tapered divider panel
  • 2 hydraulically retracting parts
  • 1 shrinkable inside corner

The outside mould consists of 4 hydraulically moveable panels.

A steel base sits around the core and is supported by hydraulic cylinders which push the cabin whilst demoulding.
A PLC controls the sequence of the hydraulic movements and makes the remote controlled demoulding process fully automated.
